An act of spiritual communion:
My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart! I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You! Amen!
With local and national elections happening this fall, I want to share with you some helpful resources from the U.S. bishops on discerning how to vote as Catholics.
As you know, the Church’s teachings do not align with any single political party. This can create anxiety and worry among the faithful on how they should vote.
“Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship” provides guidance for the Catholic faithful on how to participate in the political process and contribute to the common good. Originally published in 2004, it has been updated every four years to coincide with the presidential election. I have included links below.
Fraternally yours in Christ,
Archbishop Coakley

He incluido enlaces a continuación.
Fraternalmente tuyo en Cristo,
Arzobispo Coakley
